a) Standard Models: - Mostly used for Alignment of MOTOR-PUMP, MOTOR GEAR BOX OR MOTOR  COMPRESSOR OR ENGINE – ALTERNATOR. These Shims are available as

b) Customized: these are made as per customer specifications & Drawings. Mostly these are Laser-cut. Ref. fig-2.   Fig. 2 (a) /6 Fig.2 (b) /6 Fig.2 (c) /6 

M.O.C. (MATERIAL OF CONSTRUCTION)- Mostly SS304, can be made in SS\316 it quality is substantial. We do  not do in Brass / Copper etc. 

THICKNESS: Standard thickness in mm i.e. 0.05,0.10, 0.20, 0.25, 0.30, 0.40, 0.50, 0.70, 1.00, 1.50,2.00, 3.00mm  etc. 5.00mm is made on demand. Total 12 thickness. 

PACKING: 

a) Standard packing is 10 nos. each of various thickness in the same model. e.g TTS-2 – 10 nos. of all twelve  thickness. Ref. Fig. 3

b) Standard packing is 25 nos. each of all thickness in whatsoever models required. Ref. Fig- 4 Ex. TTS-2 = 25 nos. each –total 12 thickness = 300 nos. 

TTS-3 = 25 nos. each –total 12 thickness = 300 nos. 

TTS-4 = 25 nos. each –total 12 thickness = 300 nos. 

TTS-5 = 25 nos. each –total 12 thickness = 300 nos. 

SPECIAL PACKING QUANTITES: Customer can order any quantity in any model, in various thickness. Ex- TTS-2 (0.05mm = 100 nos., 0.10 = 100 nos. 0.20mm= 100 nos., 0.30mm = 100 nos. 0.40 = 200 nos. 0.50mm =  200 nos.. 1.0mm = 200 nos. 1.50mm = 100 nos. 2.00mm = 50 nos. 

3.00mm = 25 nos. each) 

The choice of packing is as per customer requirement. This is required because generally 0.50mm, 1.00mm are used in  much more quantity, 0.05/0.10/0.20mm is much less quantity. 

Final packing in individual cases, depending on quantity & model no. of each thickness 

MANUFACTURING PROCESS 

a) Pre-cut Rolls of each thickness or Strips for thickness 0.4 and above 

b) Thickness is measured & then each shims are cut with a DIE-PUNCH on a  

mechanical/ hydraulic presses. Ref. Fig. 5 

All press tools are in Pillar Sets, 2 or 4 Pillars depending on thickness. Press  

Tools are made from high grade Alloy steel. And then Hardened to 60-62 Rc in  

a Controlled, Nuetral Atmosphere Furnace. 

*All standard Shims are cut by DIE-PUNCH method having a BUFFER AND  

EJECTOR. THUS ALL SHIMS ARE BURE FREE AND FLAT. 

MARKING: - Each Shims is Laser marked for Correct Thickness 

If Shims are not FLAT OR BURR FREE, Alignment even with Laser will be  

extremely difficult. 

Packing: Explained earlier

LASER CUT: It depends on drawing/design in all thickens, but deburred in a Vibrating machine for getting Burr free output. Ref. Fig 6 Delivery period – 2- 3 weeks from order. 

  Fig. 6  Laser Cutting gives Burr hence these have to be correctly deburred.
